What is high-density polyethylene?
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a thermoplastic resin with high crystallinity and non-polarity. The appearance of the original HDPE is milky white, and the thin section is translucent to a certain extent. PE has excellent resistance to most domestic and industrial chemicals. HDPE is a high crystallinity, non – polar thermoplastic resin. High-density polyethylene is a white powder granular product, non-toxic, tasteless, density in the range of 0.940~0.976 g/cm3; The crystallinity is 80%~90%, the softening point is 125~135℃, the service temperature can reach 100℃; The melting temperature ranges from 120 ° C to 160 ° C. For materials with large molecules, the recommended melting temperature ranges from 200 ° C to 250 ° C. It has good heat and cold resistance, good chemical stability, but also has high rigidity and toughness, good mechanical strength.
